High Hill Jacket

High Hill Jacket 1.JPG
The High Hill Jacket is a padded jacket for historical fencing practice.
The design is inspired by a widely known XVI century fencing doublet, property of the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, as well as by diverse pictures of doublets, vests and other clothing pieces of the same era.
The High Hill Jacket is specially intented for rapier fencing (both 'early' ring hilt rapiers with wider blades and 'late' cup hilt rapiers with thinner blades) and sidesword, although it's also been tested in bouts with other weapons (two handed swords, plastic hablerd simulators) with satisfactory results. It's advisable to employ additional plastic protections in specially sensible areas (elbows, forearms) for high intensity bouts, as well as practicing with weapons potentially able to deliver significant harm (like two handed swords).
The jacket includes a relatively slippery lining to ease the task of putting it on and off, as well as an internal flap which protects the chest and neck area in the (unlikely) chance of a sword tip managing to break through the zip and get inside.
Available in both 350N and 800N.
